The review describes a Tatar-Finnish dictionary, containing 11,000 words and phrases of the modern Tatar language, it includes common abbreviations and some geographic names. The dictionary covers the most common vocabulary of various areas of the language - from colloquial words to journalistic vocabulary and popular science terminology. In the appendixes a comparative analysis of the Tatar alphabets used in Finland and in the Republic of Tatarstan is given, and the lexicon characteristic only of the Finnish Tatars is systematized. The dictionary is intended for a wide range of readers - from experts in the Tatar language to people learning Tatar and Finnish.
