The paper traces the history of studies of homogeneous parts of the sentence in the Tatar language from the first grammar books to modern linguistic research. The paper focuses on the devices, providing homogeneous base for parts of the sentence, the devices used to join them and their stylistic function. The article also focuses on the role of homogeneous parts, or clauses in creating a period in poetry and its functional and stylistic roles.
