This article, the third in the series devoted to the issues of “median culture” in the fine arts of the Republic of Tatarstan [see: 1-2], considers the creative work of Tatar avant-garde artists in a new perspective, projected on a new research “screen”. Based on the works of Tatar avant-garde artists, the article studies the functions of “median culture” in the interaction of different styles1. In this process, national artistic traditions act as an integrating spiritual factor, being attractors, in terms of synergy, which draw a variety of styles and “languages” of art into their space, adjusting the dynamics of artistic creations.
