The article presents the results of analysis of inter-lingual and interethnic interaction, problems of ethno-linguistic continuity in interethnic families as they develop in the Republic of Tatarstan. A modern interethnic marriage is a phenomenon caused, on the one hand, by the activity of international contacts, similarity of socio-professional and sectoral composition of nationalities and stability of interethnic situation. On the other hand, it is caused by weakening of a traditional family ties and values of the corresponding ethnic culture. However, interethnic marriages affect the development of linguistic processes, their tendencies, intensity and focus.
