The article analyzes the development of modern Tatar poetry in Bashkortostan and takes into account critical reviews. It also reveals the peculiarities of the poetic world. The novelty of the research is in identifying key tendencies in the development of modern Tatar poetry in Bashkortostan through systematizing scientific and critical materials (R.Sibgatov, K.Davletshin, S.Safuanov, R.Amirov, M.Mulyukov, S.Khafizov, R.Idrisov, I.Fazlutdinov, L.Vagapova, etc.). The introduction involves the study of Tatar literature, including the poetry of Bashkortostan in a socio-cultural perspective, the peculiarities of Tatar poets’ identification either as a part of Tatar or Bashkir literature, the historical background of this division and the influence of this process on their works. The author focuses on the theoretical understanding of the stylistic features of the works, specifying the differences between the terms "style", "individual style" and "regional peculiarities of style". The work is carried out on the basis of the classification adopted in literature. The researcher reveals the features of world picture, artistic representation of modern world in literary works, characteristics of the poets’ way of thinking and unique features of their aesthetic positions. The works of F.Gabderrakhim, R.Idiyatullin, S.Rakhmatulla, R.Gataullin, L.Sagidulina, M.Vafin, etc. are the object of our study. Analyzing ideological and artistic peculiarities of the themes and key motifs of the studied poems, the author reveals their aesthetic values, the role of poetic tradition and innovations of the poets, with their works becoming the heritage of Tatar culture.
