The Department of Physics of Molecular Systems is a team of professionals specializing in studies of the structure and dynamics of complex molecular and biomolecular systems using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) methods. It uses the most advanced nuclear magnetic resonance techniques, including gradient NMR and magnetic resonance imaging, as well as theoretical studies using modern numerical methods and computer modeling.
The staff of the department has published over 500 articles, more than 10 monographs, defended 58 candidate and 9 doctoral dissertations. More than 500 highly qualified specialists have been trained.
The department occupies a leading position in the Russian Federation in the development of applications of the gradient NMR method to the study of complex molecular systems and has worldwide recognition.
