Foreign Languages Department was established in 1976.

The staff teaches German and English at all the faculties of Elabuga Institute.

Our primary research areas are:

• Foreign language as a tool of cross-cultural and professional competence
• The use of innovative technologies in teaching students of non-language majors

Our research in teaching methodology pertains to:

• Interactive technologies of teaching foreign languages to students of non-language majors
• Building foreign language competence in students of non-language majors
• Electronic educational resources and new methodologies
