“The Concepts of the Master Program” project (the author: associate professor of department of Area and  Islamic Studies of  Institute of the International Relations, History and Oriental Studies of KFU I.G. Sayetov) is developed in accordance with the " Regulations on the preparation of the Master in a multi-level system of higher education of the Russian Federation" and "The state educational standard of higher education. Training field: 032000.68 – “Foreign Area Studies”.

Training of master's degree is supposed to be carried out according to the state educational standards (skills profile within foreign regional studies - "Eurasian Studies: Russia and adjoining regions"), with special emphasis on such important area as Islamic Studies in general and Islamic economics in particular.

Main objectives of the master program are to provide mastering the knowledge of Islam sufficient for the qualitative analysis of both a historical, and modern socio-political situation in Eurasia, to create competences of area of the economics which is directly connected with Muslim traditions and the Islamic doctrine; to develop skills of work with religious and theological information, for the solution of problems of regional, social and economic development, harmonization of the international relations.

The target audiences of the program are students who have islamic, oriental, historical or theological education, for example, have completed a bachelor degree on foreign area studies (skills profile: "Asian Studies"). The knowledge of, at least, one Oriental language (Arabic, Persian or Turkish) and one western is supposed (English).

The program's objective is to train graduates of two types: Master explorer and Master Practitioner. Both suggest preparing students to perform professional tasks of high complexity and research in the chosen field.

Training according to the program 032000.68 "Foreign area studies" will allow to connect islamic, analytical and economic practices, will enable a systematic and universal approach to research and management in the fields, which are an integral part of Islam and the Muslim world.
