The Department of Service and Tourism in its current status was established in September 2014 - inheriting the staff and research objectives from the Department of Welfare Service and Tourism of the now disbanded Institute of Ecology and Geography.
The Department supervises the following educational programs

Education is fee-based only. Both full-time and part-time instruction is available.
Our curriculum provides fundamental training for experts ready to work in various capacities – tour operator's jobs, guides, miscellaneous services, researchers, recreational and regional geographers.
The Department supports close connections with the leading representatives of the tourist industry and hotel business in Kazan. There are multiple internship destinations - Munich Business School, Helwan University (Egypt), Universitat Rovira I Virgili (Spain), Cesar Ritz Colleges (Switzerland).
The staff not only takes part in regional, Russian and international conferences, symposiums, congresses (for example, "The international scientific and practical conference "Tourism as Factor of Regional Development" (East university of Finland, 20.05.2014-23.05.2014), 2nd WORLD CONFERENCE on PSYCHOLOGY and SOCIOLOGY (Belgium, Brussels, 27.11.2013-30.11.2013); The Family in the Modern World, Helsinki, April, 30, 2011). The Department issues a periodical called Ecological Consulting.
