The meeting was held on 24 December.
The guest was welcomed by Counsellor to the Rector Linar Latypov, Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina, and Associate Professor Mohammed Saleh al-Ammari.
Dr. Latypov introduced the University, including its current research priorities, international cooperation, and administrative structure.
The Ambassador replied, “Thank you for the warm welcome. I am very glad to visit this historical university. I can tell that Kazan University is one of the priorities for Yemen with regards to enrolment. Many of your Yemeni alumni reach career heights at home.” He promised to convey all the information to the academia of Yemen.
At this moment, 37 Yemeni nationals study at KFU, including one PhD candidate and one medical resident. Since 2015, our researchers have co-authored 8 publications with Yemeni colleagues in archaeology, environmental studies, geology, and social sciences.
