 European companies Swarko, Ertico and Inspectra are ordering researches at Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems of KFU

Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems  of KFU organized international hand-on workshop on intelligent transportation systems October, 16.  

Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan known as the pioneer of the implementation of intelligent transportation systems in Russia was chosen to host an international hand-on workshop on intelligent transportation systems that gathered many participants including Swarko, Ertico and Inspectra teams.  

Ildar Khlikov, Tatarstan Prime-Minister has started the opening ceremony with the words of welcome and the discussion of the progress achieved by the republic in the sphere of traffic management and the use of intelligent systems. “It is evident that the intelligent transportation systems investment is smart and strategically-correct decision, leading to the improvement of the traffic condition of the city.  We are glad to claim that many innovations that are being implemented in Russia are designed and tested in Tatarstan. So, most of the traffic control systems used by the Federal Authority for Road Traffic Safety have been developed or tested in our region”, said Ildar Khalikov.

The hand-on workshop became a place of effective discussion of many professionals, among them Roman Shaikhutdinov, Minister of Informatization and Communication of Tatarstan, Anton Grachev, Director of IT Park, Alexander Dagan, Senior Project Manager of Inspectra Ltd., Akihiro Fujiwara, Vice President of Fujitsu technical center in the city of Nuremberg, and universities' representatives. They discussed intelligent transportation systems, availability of transport infrastructure and the improvement of ecological situation.

Ayrat Khasyanov, Director of the Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems of KFU, commented the cooperation with major European companies Swarko, Ertico, Inspectra in the following way:“It is essential for us that the interest of   the companies leading in the field of intelligent transportation systems towards implementation of our innovations in intelligent systems is quite significant. That means that they will become the prime customers for our research and developments. This will open us the doors to European market”.
