Delegations of Tajik universities visited KFU

The delegation of Tajik National University headed by Safarmamed Safarmamedov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, arrived in Kazan to take part in the International Chugaev Conference in Coordination Chemistry, opened on October 6.

Today, at the official meeting the leaders of two universities, KFU being represented by Linar Latypov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, discussed further deepening of cooperation between two institutions that partner under the Memorandum of Understanding of 2006.  

The attendees indicated key areas of cooperation – geology, information technologies, biomedicine and pharmacology. The parties agreed to continue academic exchanges and joint Master's degree programmes. The Vice-Rector of Tajik State University invited KFU students to have practice in Tajikistan and professors to lecture in TSU.

Tajik State University (TSU) is the largest university of Tajikistan, founded in 1947. At present TSU has 17 faculties, over 20 thousand students.  President of Tajikistan Emomalii Rahmon is the TSU graduate.

Today, October 8, Linar Latypov met Abdullah Komili, Vice-Rector of Kurgan-Tyube State University of Tajikistan.

Linar Latypov introduced Kazan University and spoke on its programmes and activities. Members of Tajik delegation visited KFU laboratories and got to know the history of the university.

The meeting ended with signing the Memorandum of Understanding between two universities. It is intended for academic exchange, interaction of professors, researchers and students, joint academic programs, trainings, seminars and scientific conferences.
