Virtual holograms at Visualization and Computer Games Development Laboratory of KFU ITIS

Visualization and Computer Games Development Laboratory of KFU ITIS plans to purchase Nettlebox holographic equipment.

The equipment helps to create virtual holograms absolutely similar to what we see around us. Motion Parallax 3D technology makes spectators believe virtual images to be real.

"Using this technology, one can see the 3D screen and a 3D image on it from all angles. The human brain believes these images are real as the illusion is very convincing”, explains Andrey Desyatov, the co-founder. “We rapidly monitor the location of the user. It is essential that the 3D illusion is motionless regardless the fact how a user changes his/her location. Thus, one can easily move around to find the best eye point”.

ITIS Higher School experts will develop models and software adaptable to this technology. Bolgar 3D reconstruction project will probably be created using it.
