Ambassadors of far-abroad countries visiting KFU

On Friday, August 22, ambassadors of far-abroad countries visited KFU.

The delegation included Elsa Ntamagiro Nizigama, Extraodinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi in Russia, Ramon Diaz Pereira, Extraodinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Paraguay in Russia, Alejandro Marin, Charge d'Affaires a.i. of the Republic of Cuba, and representatives of other diplomatic missions.

Diplomatic officials came to Kazan to take part in the 1st International Women Congress and had met the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. At the Kazan University they visited the University History Museum and discussed the KFU opportunities for foreign students with Linar Latypov, KFU Vice-Rector for International Relations.

The Bolivia’s representative expressed her hope that in the nearest future young people of Bolivia would have a chance to get education in Kazan Federal University. She shared her impressions of the excursion: “I am thrilled at the sight of the place where Lenin and Tolstoy, people so significant for Russia, studied”.

Alejandro Marin suggested considering the perspective cooperation between the universities of his country and KFU at the Meeting of Rectors of Cuba and Russia in Moscow this autumn.
