MBA diploma ceremony held in KFU

A diploma ceremony for the 13th edition of MBA (Master of Business of Administration) Programme was held in the historical events hall of KFU on July 14.

The ceremony was attended by the graduates, their family members, colleagues, and the members of Attestation Commission.

ILshat Gafurov, KFU Rector, congratulated the graduates. “I believe the present day life with its severe competition requiring constant skills upgrade made you choose this programme,” pointed out the Rector and added that for the period the MBA programme exists in KFU, over than 500 people have completed the course and successfully work at top management positions including the state sector.

Valery Sorokin, the Chair of the KFU MBA Attestation Commission, a member of KFU Supervisory Board, CEO of OAO Svyazinvestneftekhim (SINEK), wished the graduates good luck.

“You are twice happy,’ addressed he to the graduates, “First of all, because the diploma ceremony is held here, in the Kazan University events hall. I was not as lucky as you are today; our ceremony was held in the second building”. Valery Sorokin found it extremely lucky that skillful professionals have a chance to experience the student life, the happiest period of life, once again. “Please, do not lose the contacts you have got during your MBA studies,” he advised to the graduates.

Then Valery Sorokin and Ilshat Gafurov awarded graduates with diplomas.

After the ceremony, there was shown a video address of Jean Pierre Moreau, Director of ESIDEC High International Commerce School (Metz, France), KFU’s partner for MBA programme who unfortunately could not come to Kazan that day. He wished the programme graduates to be dynamic, creative, and responsible leaders.

Shamil Ageev drew the graduates’ attention to the complicated economic situation in the country and invited them to make their own contribution into the development of Russian economics. Ilyas Nuriev wished the graduates not to put off the MBA pin, “Everybody, who belongs to the Programme, wears this pin that can open all the opportunities to you!” Alsou Akhmetshina, in her turn, got mouth around the words of gratitude to those assisting the development of MBA Programme in KFU.

Saying farewell to the university, the graduates took several commemorative photos and threw up their caps all together.
