Cooperation with Malaysia to Be Expanded

The guests met with the KFU Vice-Rector for International Relations Linar Latypov, Director of Naberezhnye Chelny Makhmut Ganiev, Director of the Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems Ayrat Khasianov.

After the presentations made by the representatives of KFU administration the word was given to Ir Dr Mohd Azraii Bin Kassim, UTM Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovations who presented his alma mater.

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is the oldest public engineering and technological university in Malaysia. It specializes in technical studies and trains highly-skilled specialists.

UTM provides almost two-thirds of the country’s workforce in engineering. UTM is located in Kuala Lumpur and Skudai. The main campus includes several dozens of academic buildings, a park with a lake, a mosque, 15 dormitories, 8 cafes.  

The university makes significant contribution to fundamental and applied research. It has agreements of cooperation with such renowned universities as MIT, University of Oxford, University of Tokyo, University of Cambridge, and Harvard University.

The parties discussed possible cooperation between KFU and UTM. The priority areas were defined including IT and engineering technologies.
