KFU discusses cooperation with Indian Ambassador

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India in the Russian Federation Raghavan Pundi Srinivasan paid an official visit to KFU.

The honored guest was greeted by the Rector Ilshat Gafurov and vice rector Linar Latypov. The customary tour of the museum and the University presentation were followed by the meeting to discuss prospects of cooperation between KFU and higher educational institutions of India.

It was noted that traditionally educational collaboration between Russia and India has been focused around medicine. However, our country and the University in particular, can offer a range of promising fields of study, such as IT and engineering. Rector Gafurov expressed his willingness to promote KFU in India as well.

Rector also remarked that in 2014 KFU will announce a grant competition for graduate school applicants including international ones. These funds will cover tuition fees, travel and accommodation expenses which will hopefully facilitate the attraction of young Indian specialists.

Mr. Raghavan in his turn was enthusiastic to meet the educational proposals from KFU as he was quite impressed by the level of education and facilities demonstrated by our University.

The meeting was concluded with the exchange of memorable gifts and Mr. Raghavan left his kind comments in the Book of KFU Honored Guests.
