Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation Veronika Skvortsova visited KFU in the framework of her working visit. Ms. Skvortsova examined a new simulation center at the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology and gave her comments.

The Minister was accompanied by the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, Minister of Healthcare of Tatarstan Adel Vafin, President’s Healthcare advisor Tatyana Larionova and others.  

Ilshat Gafurov when greeting the guests noted the dramatic development of scientific and applied medicine and biology in recent years. And the fact that KFU contributes to this trend in engeneering and medical technologies proves the validity of the chosen University strategy. One of the evidence is the simulation center at Kazan Federal University that is being implemented under a medical science project “Engineering Centre of Medical Simulators” ran by Eidos Company.

Andrei Kiyasov, director of the Institute, clarified that the new center hosts vivarium, histologic laboratory and simulation center which will allow to shape specific essential medical skills in virtual reality.
