The Presidium of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences unanimously approved the nominee of a secretary academician Myakzyum Salakhov from the department of physics, energy and earth sciences at Tatarstan Academy of Sciences to fulfill the duties of the President of the Academy.

The ex-president Akhmet Mazgarov announced his leave at the Academy’s meeting on May 8.

The official elections will take place on June 16 with the participation of the Republic’s leadership.
