From April, 26 Capital of Tatarstan will turn into the centre of the Turkic world. On April, 25, the day before opening this momentous event, KFU visited delegation from the Turkish Republic.
Solemn inauguration of the year Kazan is the capital of the Turkic world - 2014 will be held on April, 26 in the Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Musa Jalil. It is symbolic that this event is to be held on the day of birth of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai.
Yesterday the delegation from the Turkish Republic arrived in Kazan. The delegation headed by the Governor of Eskişehir province, CEO of Agency “Eskişehir is the cultural capital of Turkic-speaking countries”, Güngör Azim Tuna, had an intense day. In the morning the delegates answered reporter`s questions in the Concert Hall named after Salikh Saidashev. During the press conference Güngör Azim Tuna underlined that is was a great happiness to pass the relay to Kazan.
The next place visited by the delegation was Kazan Federal University. Vice-Rector for International Relations met them and accompanied. During the visit the delegation was in the Assembly Hall and Museum of History, where they learnt about life and work of prominent scholars.
