KFU Students Visited Parliamentary Council of the Council of Europe

Spring in Russia is a special time of year. If in some parts of the world it goes unnoticed, then in our country after a long winter its incoming is mostly noticeable. However it sometimes happens that the weather deviates from the schedule compiled by a human and winter lasts a little bit longer. In this case some people go to warm countries. We also had an opportunity to have a summer time.

As a part of delegation consisting of 14 representatives from various regions we visited a magnificent city of Strasbourg.

The aim of visit was to attend an educational seminar. We met with leaders of youth and student organizations, administration of the Youth Department of the Council of Europe, representatives of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, discussed the implementation of youth policy, took part in round tables, trainings, master-classes and visited meetings of PACE spring session as observers.

Although our group was not so big, it included the representatives of various spheres – undergraduate, postgraduate students, assistants of deputies, businessmen as well as representative of Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. From the very beginning a friendly atmosphere was established in our group and this allowed to have fruitful discussions about youth policy in the Russian Federation and beyond it. There was noticed a visible professionalism of organizers who presented captivating material and were active participants of discussions. We would like to express gratitude for applied efforts.

As future specialists in international relations and translators, we were particularly interested in attending PACE sessions, that as it is generally known became historical ones. Moreover, we visited the European Court of Human Rights.

This trip was organized on the initiative of the Chairman of State Council of the Tatarstan Republic – Farid Makhametshin. We would like to express gratitude for the granted opportunity to gain new experience, bright emotions and unforgettable impressions.
