On April, 16 Kazan Federal University was visited by the delegation from Novartis company in Russia headed by the President Vadim Vlasov.

For information: Novartis International AG is a Swiss multinational pharmaceutical company based in Basel, Switzerland, ranking number two in sales (46.806 billion US$) among the world-wide industry in 2010.

Corporation representatives visited training and research labs at the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology of KFU, including Research Lab of Neurobiology. Head of the lab told that the tour showed the guests opportunities the University had in various branches of science, especially, in Pharmaceuticals.

Guests were astounded by look of the old university building and information on historical personalities who worked here in various periods of time.

Currently the sides agreed on weekly courses for students organized by the company representatives. During these courses they will introduce sphere of work of Novartis.
