The business center "Atakent" in Almaty, Kazakhstan hosted 15th Kazakhstan International Exhibition "Education and Career", organized with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, Almaty City Administration and the Association of Kazakhstan Universities. Kazan University was represented by the deputy director of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technology, Chukmarov Ildus, associate professor of mineralogy and lithology, Kolchugin Anton and a leading specialist of the Department of External Relations Ilsiya Gibadullina.

The first day of the exhibition proved that the stand of the Kazan University was popular among Kazakh students. Representatives of our university spoke to students about educational opportunities at the leading university of the Volga Region. Each guest received a special KFU leaflet with detailed information about the structural units of the University, the current academic programs, infrastructure and University of Kazan in general. Local high school students were mainly attracted by prospects of medicine, radio physics, computational mathematics, oil and gas technologies.

It should be noted that Kazan University is already involved in a close partnership with higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, such as, the Eurasian National University and South Kazakhstan State University. In March 2014, KFU held welcome days in Almaty and Astana which also played a positive role in the promotion of Kazan brand.
