Sergei Makedonski, President of ASTRA (Association of Strategic Outsourcing) visited Kazan Federal University. The visit’s goal was to discuss cooperation of ASTRA with Kazan Federal University, in particular, with Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems.
Earlier Director of the Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems Airat Khasianov and Sergei Makedonski engaged talks about establishment of the laboratory of outsourcing which is to be open in KFU in September, 2014. The laboratory will be supervised by S. Makedonski, one of the leading Russian experts in strategic outsourcing.
Sergei Makedonski – Candidate of Sciences in Sociology, President of ASTRA, regional director of Forrester Research Russia. He has been organizing analytical research in IT and new media and attracting leading international companies to the Russian market since 1991.
Outsourcing is the contracting out of as business process to a third-party. In other words, you handle over some tasks to experts who can perform them better, quicker and cheaper.
Sergei Makedonski also met with faculty and students: he conducted the round table “World experience in efficient university management”, the lecture “International market: new opportunities”.
