Nobel prize winner Noyori Ryoji is the Honorary Doctor of the Kazan University

May 2 - official meeting of the Academic Council devoted to the awarding of the president of the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research RIKEN (Japan) Noyori Ryoji the title of "Honorary Doctor of the Kazan Federal University."
The ceremony was attended by the scientist's wife Hiroko Noyori and his colleagues.
The decision on awarding Rioyi Noyori the title of "Honorary Doctor of the Kazan University" for his great contribution to the physical and chemical sciences as well as the development of fruitful partnership between Kazan University and the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research Riken was taken on the initiative of the rector’s meeting.
Then, to the applause of the audience the Honorary Doctor of the Kazan University Rioyi Noyori was presented with brand University distinctions.
"I am honored to receive such high title of one of the most prestigious universities in Russia. I am proud to be recognized by my scientific achievements - said Prof. Noyori Ryoji - Glory of the University is connected with many famous names in world science. These scientists have created great research traditions of Kazan University. I have studied the books of the representatives of Kazan School of Chemistry. Physics, chemistry and biology are traditionally strong areas for KFU. The most important thing at this point is the ability to integrate them."
