KFU flag on highest mountain of Kamchatka

February 11, 2014 - a KFU graduate Niyaz Garaev, who is currently a successful businessman in Tatarstan, described in his interview all hardships and unique fulfillment from extreme tourism in the most distant places in Russia. Over 21 years Niyaz has been in hundreds of tours and dozens of expeditions.

The main objective of this expedition is to achieve the top of Klyuchevskaya Sopka, which is not only the highest peak on Kamchatka but also is an active volcano where the flag of Kazan Federal University will be placed. The most enthusiastic will later have a chance to swim in the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean and then enjoy warm thermal springs of Paratunki.

Even though the adventure will have hazards and difficulties, and each participant will test the boundaries of his will and character, we are looking forward to this unforgettable experience and reevaluation of everyday values.
