Russian scientists test the first in the world vaccine to quit smoking

BFM.ru with reference to company – developer Selekta informs that Russian scientists work on the first in world vaccine from smoking.

Currently the scientists invention has already passed the first stage of clinical tests, soon there would start the second one. If the tests are successful, the vaccine will come in the market in five years. Vaccine action consists in delivery of its components to the  organism cells that deal with immune response launch. Afterwards vaccine will facilitate antibodies production that will immobilize nicotine before it approaches the brain. In this case nicotine won`t appear in the centre responsible for delight and smoking won`t lead to satisfaction. Initially vaccine development was carried out by the USA company SelectaBiosciences, however, Selekta/RUS/ being its subsidiary company received grant from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, so all the developments were relocated to Khimki.
