Kazan University Projects are Supported by the European Commission

Today long-expected results of the contest for academic project financing, held in the framework of TEMPUS program, one of the largest programs of the European Commission, were published on the site of the Education, Audiovisual & Culture Exe­cutive Agency of the European Commission (EACEA). The two projects involving Kazan Federal University are in the list of projects provided with financing under the last (6th) program contest:

The Department of External Affairs congratulates departments, the projects of which were supported by the European Commission – the Faculty of Law of KFU and the Faculty of Economics of KFU Brach in Naberezhnye Chelny – and expresses gratitude to colleagues, who actively participated in the application submission process – namely to the head of the Department of International and European Law, Doctor of Law, Mr. A. I. Abdullin, and the head of the Department of Political Sciences, Candidate of Historical Sciences, V. T. Sakaev, and their colleagues. The projects were implemented thanks to many years’ experience of academic cooperation between KFU scientists and European universities – consortium participants.

New projects replenished a stock of network projects implemented by KFU in the framework of the following European Commission programs: TEMPUS, Erasmus Mundus, 7 Framework Program; there are 10 of them now. There were 13 projects implemented in Kazan University during the twenty-year history of the program in the sphere of higher education development. Recall that TEMPUS PROSET project, devoted to forming of competence and practical skills of language knowledge assessment with teachers of English, is being successfully implemented in the Institute of Philology and Arts of KFU at the present time.

A lot of applications for participation in the contest were filed this year, with 171 projects supported by the European Commission. Kazan University was represented in 16 project applications, 2 of which turned out to be successful.
