On September, 26 international scientific conference National and confessional in English and Russian literature and culture held on September 23-26 finished KFU Institute of Philology and Arts. This conference was organized jointly with Russian Association of English Literature Teachers.

More than 100 scientists participated in this conference. They came from Minsk State Linguistic University, Donetsk State University, the University of Łódź (Poland), Saint Petersburg State University, Russian State Humanitarian University and other Russian and international universities.  

On September, 23 there was held opening and plenary meeting.

In the framework of conference worked 4 sections: The interaction of confessional and national elements as a matter of artistic interpretation and implementation in the Russian literature, Facets of Christianity interpretation in the English Literature, Confessional component of national identity in the English language, Genre and stylistic diversity of works in the English literature , as well as the round table Basics of religious cultures and secular ethics: the semantic content and methods of teaching school course.

On September, 25 the conference was closed and participants discussed significance of its topic, its high scientific and organizational level and program intension. Moreover, there was held meeting of participants with the Institute Director, Professor Zamaletdinov.
