Eurasian Integration on the agenda

On September, 26 round table devoted to European idea and integration processes in CIS was carried out in KFU.

Representatives from Tatarstan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan gathered in the Hall of Board of Trustees in the Nikolai Lobachevskiy Scientific Library.

This activity was organized by the scientific community of newly established KFU Institute of International Relations. Organizers decided to discuss one of the most important topics for Russia and Central Asia – Eurasian integration. To understand better the essence of this topic meeting moderator – Head of the Research Centre for Central Asia, Associate Professor from the Institute, Albert Beloglazov told prehistory of Eurasian idea origin.

Albert Beloglazov expressed the main idea of round table participants. As he told in order to create the joint union it was necessary to supplement economic, military and politic integration with cultural and humanitarian components and establish the corresponding union compared with Eurasian Economic Community and the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

Afterwards was organized discussion of the prospects of educational and scientific integration of three countries.
