Kazan University has a new partner from India

On September, 23 was signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Kazan Federal University and Coimbatore Institute of Technology (India).

KFU Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Doctor Prasad countersigned the outlined cooperation.

This meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Research – Danis Nurgaliev, Vice-Rector for Innovations – Nail Kashapov, Vice-Rector for International Relations – Linar Latypov and Director of the Higher School of Information Technologies and Information Systems – Airat Khasiyanov.

The guest told that during his last visit to Kazan in March 2012 he was astounded by Kazan University:  its history, names of prominent scientists and spheres of knowledge that were developing at the current stage. First of all it is expected to organize a joint conference where the scientist himself would more precisely work out directions for cooperation.

Ilshat Gafurov informed that the University was working on the roadmap.

Mr. Prasad notified that Coimbatore Institute of Technology was established in 1956 by his father. While establishing the University he recruited staff and then sent them in various countries to undergo internships, four members were sent to Russia. Exactly these teachers formed the foundation for the University. According to Mr. Prasad, Coimbatore Institute of Technology focuses on cooperation with industrial sector. Currently the development of IT is very important, especially in agricultural sphere. Moreover, currently CTI should prepare its own roadmap, so this issue is as topical for CTI as for Kazan University.

Kazan University and CTI support international exchange of academic and methodological literature in order to distribute new technologies for quality improvement of small and medium business. The Universities intend to cooperate in the following research areas: intellectual technologies, mobile technologies, high performance computations and applications, data intellectual analysis and others.

In the next visit representatives of the Indian University plan to look over Labs in the Institute of Physics and the Alexander Butlerov Institute of Chemistry.
