KFU Lyceums continue building international connections

On September 23, 2013 Nikolai Lobachevskiy Lyceum was visited by Director of the Leipzig Centre of Professional Education and Further Training, Frank Muller, and member of Leipzig Chamber of Trade and Industry, Nataliya Kutz. The guests were met by Rector`s Counsellor, Head of KFU Office of Pre-university, general and pedagogical education, Lyudmilla Nugumanova and Lyceum Principal, Elena Skobeltsyna. Issues for further cooperation between KFU subdivisions, Nikolai Lobachevskiy Lyceum and IT-Lyceum with German institutions of general education were discussed during the meeting. These institutions train personnel reserve for society and industry. The sides decided on mutual cooperation in order to exchange the existing experience in pupils` professional orientation and develop new effective approaches to foster conscious choice of profession among young generation. The first steps will be fulfilled in the nearest future: exchange of pupils` delegations with the aim of reciprocal acquaintance with educational and cultural environment of country – partner; creation of conditions that facilitate study of German language as the second language selected by the pupil; development of approaches to conditions` arrangement for the exchange of pedagogical experience of Russian and German teachers. Doctor Frank Muller expressed readiness to pick up the first school-partners who are prepared for effective collaboration with KFU lyceums and to participate in the project realization. Lyudmilla Nugumanova reported on the development of dual education in the Republic and approved University interest in the development of partnership relations with German educational community.
