Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation visited Kazan Federal University.

April 10 - Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation, H.E. Mr. Djauhari Oratmangun visited Kazan Federal University.

The honored guest was greeted by KFU President Myakzyum Salakhov, Vice Rector for External Relations Linar Latypov, director of the Department of External Relations Andrei Krylov.

In the conference room, an official meeting was held where participants discussed the development of partnerships in education between KFU and Indonesia. In particular, the Ambassador took interest in cooperation in various scientific fields, namely, physics, chemistry, linguistics, economics. According to Djauhari Oratmangun, currently there are only two students from Indonesia at KFU, and he wishes that the number of students from his country increases here.

"I am impressed with how actively your city evolves, and I am glad that I have a chance to visit one of the best universities in Russia. It would be nice to establish student exchange between our countries", - said Ambassador.

Guest visited the Museum of History of Kazan University, Department of Rare Books and Manus­cripts at the Library, and taught a class on Russian-Indonesian relations at the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations.
