15th International Feofilov Symposium

September 16 – Kazan University hosts International symposium on spectroscopy of crystals doped with rare earth and transition metal iones. The forum gathered over one hundred Russian and international physicists and research fellows from laboratories and universities from more than 20 countries of Europe, Asia and North America.

Rector Ilshat Gafurov greeted the participants urging them to witness and enjoy the transformations taking place at KFU and in the city in general.

During the week, from September 16 to 20, experts will discuss a wide range of topical problems of condensed matter physics, in particular, quantum memory mechanisms, synthesis of new materials for quantum electronics, spectra of nanocrystals, quantum dynamics and relaxation excitations as well as new types of charge and orbital ordering in complex oxides of transition metals.
