First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation visited KFU IT-Lyceum

On August, 2 First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov visited IT-Lyceum.

He was accompanied by President of the Tatarstan Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, Acting Prime – Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Republic Engel Fattakhov and KFU Rector Ilshat Gafurov.   

Igor Shuvalov visited gym hall and was presented the program of education upgrade developed by Singapore company Educare. According to this program information and methodic centres were opened in Tatarstan, 388 specialists were trained in Singapore to work in these centres. Namely this system is used in IT- Lyceum. This year specialists will teach 10800 Tatarstan teachers modern methods, and in whole number of teachers amounts to 33 thousand. This summer were held courses of the joint program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Tatarstan Republic and Singapore Company Educare for training teachers.

Igor Shuvalov noted that Educare program is designed to implement A-level and IB standards. According to him Russia has traditional and strong academic programs in hard disciplines that should be used in teaching practice and be smoothly combined with elements of foreign systems.

Another project that was demonstrated to the Prime – Minister is the program for further qualification of English language teachers realized in cooperation with EF School. EF School also launched program for Tatar language on-line training.
