Andrey Demanov – a silver medalist of Universiade

Today the Russian weight lifter, Andrey Demanov, who graduated from the Faculty of Law of Kazan Federal University in 2012, became a silver medalist of Universiade in men, 105 kg weight category. His performance as a sum in two exercises made 406 kg /183 kg in the snatch plus 223 kg in the jerk/.

Ruslan Nurudinov from Uzbekistan won “Gold” – 412 kg /190 plus 222/. The weight lifter set a record of Universiade in the jerk and sum of clean and jerk combination.

David Bedzhanyan, another Russian weight lifter, won “Bronze” – 403 kg /179 plus 224/.

Demanov is a champion of Europe-2011 competitions held in Kazan, the winner of summer Universiade 2011 in Shenzhen /China/.
