July 6 – Torch Relay made its way from Universiade Village to the main building of KFU. The final straightway was long-awaited by a crowd of volunteers and all enthusiastic comers.
The marathon was attended among others by the FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien, mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Minister of Sport Vitaly Mutko, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The torchbearer to bring the Flame onto the stage was the famous Russian tennis player Anastasiya Myskina.
All viewers were excited by the unique moment. Ilshat Gafurov delivered a speech dedicated to the Games and was proud of the direct belonging to the global event.
The Flame stayed at the University until 11 p.m. and then completed its journey at the Kazan Arena Stadium.
