Kazan Federal University was awarded a Third Class Diploma (the third place). The Head of the Scientific Research Activity Directorate, Ms. Nataliya Zhuravlyova, came out to get the diploma and congratulations. “This reward is a powerful stimulus for inventive and rationalisation activity development in KFU,” noted Ms. Zhuravlyova. “We have acquired colossal opportunities in connection with INECA affiliation with our university and Engineering Institute organising. We must develop these opportunities to the maximum in order to achieve higher results by the end of 2013”. Mr. Ildar Nazmiyev, the Head of Patent and Licensing Department of KFU, shared his ideas: “KFU is actively working in the field of invention and patent-and-licensing. Our University has been awarded since 2010, when we won the third place; then in 2011 we took the second place. Taking into consideration that the process of several higher education institutions affiliation with our University was over in that year and the quantity of students and employees increased by several times, I think that inventive and rationalisation activity will significantly and strongly intensify. In this connection the top authorities are planning to brisk up this work by means of certain increase in the staff strength. Moreover, students and post-graduate students are planned to be trained in inventive and patent practice”.
