KFU student Farida Zakirova represented our country in international arena

On June 8-17 was held Youth Forum of the 37th session of UNESCO World Heritage Committee that was organized in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh located in the Kingdom of Kambodia.

It was very important for the Republic of Tatarstan and Russian Federation to be represented on this forum. As the representative was chosen the student of the 3rd year of KFU Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations Farida Zakirova.

Farida Zakirova told that the main goal of this forum was to attract attention of youth to the problem of historical and cultural monuments conservation of UNESCO World Heritage.

Participants underwent academic program devoted to the methods of conservation of World Cultural Heritage objects, visited historical and cultural monuments of ancient Angkor and took active part in archeological excavations on the territory of the famous Bayon temple.

In any state the priority question of either historical and cultural monuments conservation or investment in economy and infrastructure is one of the most difficult. During the training participants tried to find the decisions that meet requirements of realities of various countries.

Intramural part of the forum came to the end, but now the work of participants who know how to conserve the monuments will start all around the world.
