KFU delegation in Turin

On April, 22 the 6th European conference “Altair-2013” was opened in Turin (Italy). KFU Rector, Mr. Ilshat Gafurov, Director of branch in Naberezhnye Chelny, Mr. Makhmut Ganiev, and Deputy Director of the Institute of Physics, Mr. Dmitriy Tayurskiy, attended this conference.

Altair is the leading world supplier of technologies, group of companies having more than 40 branches in 19 countries, including Russia. Company was founded in 1985 in Michigan, the USA.   

In the framework of conference KFU representatives attended seminars devoted to corresponding industries and practical application. KFU delegation was mostly interested in reports of Professor Konstantine Mais (France) “Materials simulation and engineering”, Professor Paolo Baldissera and Professor Christian Deprete “Structural designing of high speed vehicles, steered by human” and Bruno Morchinelli (Italy) “Designing and production of IDRA Pegasus  prototypes: from steer to wheels”.

Within this business trip it is planned to visit Politecnico di Torino which is a world famous centre for training specialists in the field of automobile production. Currently this university is a bright example of integration of education and industry.

KFU cooperates with Italian scientific and educational centres. Nowadays KFU collaborates with the following Italian universities: Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata, University of Bologna, Università degli Studi di Firenze and the University of Pavia.
