At the meetings Kazan University was represented by President Myakzyum Salakhov, Vice Rector for Research Danis Nurgaliev and directors of institutes.

The University of Luxembourg is a true example of a cosmopolitan educational institution where lectures and classes are held in 3 languages; it also employs a positive model of inter-university collaboration when each student is required to participate in foreign training programs during one semester.

Besides sharing the latest information on the universities, the parties determined two priority directions for cooperation – Medicine and Information Technologies.

According to Franck Leprevost, University of Luxembourg has introduced the system of efficiency evaluation after every 3-year period. Thus, the management of the university will limit cooperation with Russian universities down to five schools and KFU, as one of the best universities in Russia, will be in this list. Franck Leprevost assured the audience that this will be active research cooperation with student exchange and joint training programs.
