April 8 – Institute of Philology and Arts at KFU hosts an international conference Innovations in EFL: Methods, Assessment and Reflection supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan, US Embassy in Moscow and Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages. It is expected that the experience of mutual learning will help to exchange innovative techniques in teaching English and will also foster successful dialogue between two cultures.
The organizing board including Frances Westbrook, an English language officer for Russia at the US Embassy in Moscow, and ESL Fellows again stressed the importance and necessity of the language fluency for the upcoming international sports competitions in Kazan. Thus it is highly anticipated to learn new methods and concepts of increasing language teaching efficiency from American and Russian specialists at this seminar.
