On April, 8 Vice-Rector for International Relations Linar Latypov met with delegation of American Colleges Administration led by Director of Moscow Office of Fulbright Program Joel Ericson in Kazan Federal University.
Presidents of American Colleges were members of the delegation: Jack David Armstrong - Brovard – college (Florida), Richard G. Shrubb – Minesota West Community and Technical College, Edward J. Yaw – Morris Randolph College (New Jersey); Vice-Rector of Alamo-College (Texas), Solis Silva Adelina; Director of College Programms De Anza (California) Margaret Bdzil and member of Moscow office of Fulbright Program Oksana Anistratenko.
The meeting was focused on cooperation. For many years Kazan University successfully interacts with Fulbright program. Students and university staff have received numerous grants for training programs in the United States. Each year KFU welcomes American scientists and post-graduate students to undergo individual scientific training in a wide range of disciplines: Social Study, Pedagogy, Mathematics, History etc. American guests noted that thanks to major academic and scientific activities of the Faculty members, who carry out scientific supervision of the American trainees, Kazan University got the academic reputation of a reliable partner for the U.S. side.
All-Russian summer school "Green Technologies" aimed at post- graduate students and young scientists, which was organized in Kazan from June 20 to June,30, 2012 served as confirmation of long-term successful cooperation of KFU and Fulbright Program.
Joel Ericson enjoyed reception and expressed desire to expand cooperation with Kazan Federal University.
It should be noted that the American delegation stays in KFU for several days. Previously they visited KFU branch in Yelabuga and KFU branch in Naberezhnye Chelny, and they also went to Universiade Village and IT lyceum.
