Vice-Rector for International Relations had meeting with delegation of scientists from Islam University n.a. Emir Abdelkader

On April, 1 Vice-Rector for International Relations Linar Latypov had meeting with the delegation of scientists from Islam University n.a. Emir Abdelkader (Constantine, Algeria). The delegation was headed by Professor Kardoussi. The aim of visit was to examine development of School of Oriental Studies and Islam Sciences.

Linar Latypov told about the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations, Islam adoption, toleration relations between confessions and nations who live on the territory of our Republic. He also noted that Kazan University has ties with Algeria Universities, in particular, there was signed an Agreement  on cooperation in the field of natural sciences with Boumerdes University n.a. Mkhamed Bugar.

Professor Kardussi expressed interest in cooperation with Kazan University and suggested to organize lectures on Islam and Algeria. Linar Latypov  made special mention of works by Professor Kardoussi on comparative and contrastive analysis of Islam and Judaism and he proposed to assist Centre of Judaica at the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations in conducting joint research.

It is planned to sign Agreement on Cooperation between Kazan University and Islam University n.a. Emir Abdelkader.

During visit Algerian delegation will get acquainted with Kazan University structure, Nikolai Lobachevkiy scientific library, in particular unit of rare manus­cripts, and number of Kazan educational institutions, including Russian Islamiс University.
