KFU and Higher Education Institutions of Czech Republic have Found New Points of Contact

Kazan Federal University has established partnership relations with a number of higher education institutions of Czech Republic in the sphere of Biomedicine, Pharmaceutics and Medical Instrument Engineering.

That was the result of KFU delegation visit to this country. The delegation consisted of Vice-Rector for Research, Director of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, Mr. Danis Nurgaliyev, and Director of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology, Mr. Andrey Kiyasov.

During these two days our University representatives had meetings and negotiations in the commercial consulate of the RF, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Czech Republic, Czech Technical University, Charles University, Brno University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Masarykov University and Science and Technology Park CEITEC.

As a result a frame Agreement of Cooperation between KFU and Czech Technical University in the spheres of Information Technologies and Medical Instrument Engineering has been drawn up (“We took interest in their developments in the sphere of nuclear medicine”, – explained Mr. Danis Nurgaliyev). As for Brno University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences, KFU intends to implement a joint Master’s Degree Program in collaboration with it. Furthermore, there was an agreement on experience exchange between KFU and Science and Technology Park CEITEC reached. Interaction parameters will be specified during return visits of Czech colleagues to KFU.

It is worth saying that Kazan University has already been cooperating with higher education institutions of Czech Republic in the framework of several international projects. Thus, it is collaborating with Masarykov University of Brno in the framework of Erasmus Mundus Triple network mobility program. Scientists representing the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of KFU and Charles University participate in a scientific research work performed within the framework of the international project for the theory of calculability and constructive algebraic structures (the project is being implemented with the financial support of the National Scientific Fund - NSF – higher education institutions from the USA, Canada, Singapore, Bulgaria, Belgium, New Zealand and Kazakhstan participate in it, as well).
