Startup of the KFU Branch in Chelny was Selected for Promotion at the Federal Level


A startup project “Univer TechnoBitum” (founder – Ruslan Kemalov, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University) was selected by the council of experts of Russian StartUp Tour for promotion at the federal level among five startups from Naberezhnye Chelny. Chelny-Biz portal spread this news today.

“Univer TechnoBitum” is a project to develop unique additives and modifiers which can be used for manufacturing of high-quality fuel corresponding to Euro-5 standard.

Besides this project Russian StartUp Tour experts have selected the following projects to get mentor and organizational support: “PARTIZAN – info” (the project author – Igor Lekontsev) – a hardware-software complex, which permits business to develop new forms of client retrieval, sell goods and services avoiding extra costs for mobile application promotion and advertisement; “Sensomed” (author – Andrey Vereschagin) – a device destined to control respiration showings 24 hours a day, which permits to detect respiratory distress at an early stage; “Acodemy” (project supervisor – Nikolay Nikulin) – a cloud platform for teaching programming, professional user testing, remote training by subs­cription and “Mobile Complex of air observation of objects” (project authors – Andrey Popov and Dmitriy Serebrenikov).

In the nearest future teams of these projects will participate in such All-Russian competitions as “Seliger”, “Zvorykin’s Prize”, entrepreneur contest “Business of Innovation Technologies”, international innovation festival in Skolkovo innopolis StartUp Village and others.

Russian Startup Tour is a unique road-show of development institutes held in 17 cities for the first time in Russia. It was initiated by Skolkovo Fund and supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the RF, Ministry of Education and Science of the RF, Ministry of Informatisation and Mass Communications of the RF. It is expected that over 1000 innovators and startup companies will participate in it.

Main objective of Russian Startup Tour is to unite startup community, talented young people, investors, regional technoparks and scientific grounds spread all over the country. There is a special program developed for each Russian Startup Tour participant city. This program includes masterclasses, presentations, business games, coaching seminars, consultations destined to help regional players to integrate into the international startup movement. The road-show will permit to form a regular stream of innovation projects interesting for Russian and foreign investors.

The Road-show started on March 01, 2013 in Yekaterinburg and will finish on April 29, 2013 in Kaliningrad. Naberezhnye Chelny is the only Tatarstan city included in the route, which received Russian Startup Tour experts on March 18, 2013.
