Among the laureates there are three Kazan representatives. They are Anatoliy Livada – general manager  of ZAO “Fon”, Ravil Rakhimov – head of the department at Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering and KFU representative Almir Salakhov – Candidate of Science in Engineering at the Department of Solid State Physics of the Institute of Physics. Director of Volzhsko-Kamskiy branch of “Budnikov All-Union Research Institute of Engineering Materials and Constructions”.

Award was given to a group of scientists (Ashmarin G.D., (supervisor), Bessonov I.V., Gerashenko B.N., Ponomarev O.I., Kozlov V.V., Livada A.N., Rakhimov R.Z., Roife V.S., Salakhov A.M.).
