On February, 28 round table devoted to cooperation of the KFU Faculty of Law with the Universities of Poland and Germany was held in the hall of Rectorate meeteing`s.

Representatives of the University of Warsaw (Poland), the Institute of Economy and Administration from Essen (Germany) and members of the methodic committee and working group on development of external relations from the KFU Faculty of Law discussed the prospects of joint curriculums, research activity, publications, student and Faculty members exchange.

Associate Professor, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law Lidiya Bakulina told about the peculiarities of law disciplines teaching at KFU.  Having described the structure of this Faculty, she noted the specificity of applying the Bologna system at KFU that is being realized in the University for 10 years. Representatives of other Universities also described the process of student training in their counties, and it turned out that the German system of education remains the same for 150 years.

Representatives of the Faculty of Law expressed various proposals on the further development of mutually beneficial relations. These are joint educational projects, information exchange, interdepartmental and inter-faculty researches performed by undergraduate and postgraduate students, Faculty members of the mentioned Universities and exchange of training-and-methodic experience and organization of working group. All these activities suppose joint education, including distant and awarding of “double diploma”, participation in summer schools, research work, banner exchange and many other projects.

Head of the KFU Department of Criminal Law Maria Talan being a moderator of the round table noted in the interview with journalists: “We are particularly interested in meeting with the University of Warsaw, as one of its representative Krzysztof Antoni Szerszeniewicz is relative of the Kazan University Professor Gabriel Szerszeniewicz. We are so glad to restore relations that our University had since the prerevolutionary times and hope that this communication will be useful for both sides. We would like to know the similarities of curriculums to be able to conduct the student and, perhaps, Faculty members exchange properly”.
