Japanese guest at KFU

On February, 27 Japanese guests General Manager of Japanese-Russian Centre of Youth Exchange at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in Tokyo Mr. Sineo Natsui and President of Ikebana Ikenobo Branch in Russia and CIS countries Ms. Yamada Midori visited Kazan Federal University.

Mr. Sineo Natsui visited Centre of Japanese Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations KFU and had a meeting with the Director of the Institute Linar Latypov. After the meeting he had a conversation with journalists where he told about the main purpose of his visit: “Our center always sends teachers to Kazan. Recently we have sent Japanese teacher and now would like to discuss possibilities of our cooperation with the University Administration. We are particularly interested in Japanese training in your University”. He shared his impressions on Kazan which he has already visited several times. According to Mr. Sineo Natsui cooperation with our University began in 2001 when the first teacher of Japanese came to Kazan (since that time 6 teachers of Japanese worked in Kazan). “Japanese is very difficult, but we are glad that you have students who can learn it”, told Mr. Sineo Natsui.

On that day public lecture on Japanese culture and tea ceremony were held at the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations. They were carried out by the Founder and President of the Ikebana Ikenobo Branch in Russia and CIS countries, Professor, bearer of the order “Rising Sun, Golden and Silver Rays” Ms. Yamada Midori.
