On February, 26 in the Institute of Philology and Arts was held an offsite meeting of KFU Council of Trustees.
Before the meeting Chairman of the KFU Council of Trustees – President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and other distinguished guests – trustees of the University had visited a number of objects.
First of all, they visited Scientific-and-educational center of Pharmaceuticals and the Institute of fundamental Medicine and Biology of KFU. President were laboratories for molecular and genetic research, gene and cell culture technologies, the center of proteomic studies.
In the Institute of Philology and Arts members of the Council of Trustees plunged into the linguistic culture of various nations. In the center of Tatar language and Literature they participated in the lesson of Tatar language based on the program “Ana Tele”. There was also organized video communication with student of “Ana Tele” program from China.
Moreover, President was in the Centre of German Language and German Culture n.a. Goethe, Centre of British Culture, Centre of American Studies and on free public lessons of Tatar for population. In the studio of Tatar folklore the guests could get acquainted with various items from expeditions and, namely, with folk musical instruments.
The meeting itself was held in the Assembly Hall if the Institute. The meeting was opened by the President of Tatastan Rustam Minnikhanov. Noticing the activity of the Institute of Philology and Arts, the President positive evaluated all language projects that are being developed at Institute.
The first item in the agenda was question concerning the development strategy of Biomedicine and Pharmaceuticals in KFU. In this connection the floor was given to the Director of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology Andrey Kiyasov, who told about the Institute`s development, creation of the Centre of Translational Medicine and also about Clinical Grounds of KFU.
Vice-Rector on Economic and Strategic Development Marat Safiullin presented project on open biopharmaceutical technopark of KFU.
Kazan Federal University signed agreements on cooperation with various establishments:
Agreement between Kazan Federal University and OAO “RITEK” (“Russian Innovative Fuel and Power Company” that is a member of oil company “LUKOIL”) in the sphere of science and innovations in the field of oil search, exploration and exploitation, methods of production and processing of hydrocarbons was signed by KFU Rector Ilshat Gafurov and General Manager OAO “RITEK” Nikolai Hikolaev.
In the ceremony of signing the Agreements on Cooperation and Strategic Partnership on opening and realization of joint project “Educational and scientific subdivision “Business-school OAO “Ak Bars” between KFU and OAO Ak Bars participated KFU Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Chief Executive Officer Robert Minnegaliev.
Agreements on Cooperation between Kazan Federal University and Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Tatarstan on long term cooperation for the purposes of improving the quality of education and prestige of the system of education in the Republic of Tatarstan and Volga Region Federal District were signed by KFU Rector Ilshat Gafurov and Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Engel Fattakhov.
In the end of the meeting was solemn ceremony on awarding of State Prizes of Tatarstan Republic.
Honorary titles of “Honored Science Worker of the Republic of Tatasrtan” were awarded to:
Director of the Institute of Management and Territorial Development Nailya Bagautdinova; Head of the Department of Tatar Journalism of the Institute of Mass Communications and Social Sciences Vasil Garifullin, Head of the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Institute of Physics Juriy Proshin and Director of Volga Region Interregional Centre for Further Training and Professional Retraining of educators Rais Shaicheslamov.
